            I am an adjunct instructor of English 1010 and English 1020 to college students.  I maintain class syllabi, class pacing, lecture, correspondence, and grading.

Currently, I am the AVID Coordinator for the school as well as the AVID elective teacher. Additionally, I serve as the the IB CAS (Creativity Activity and Service) Coordinator for the International Baccalaureate program. I am a part of the Restorative Justice committee, and the Building Leadership team at Antioch High School. Antioch High school is the second largest comprehensive high school in Metro Nashville Public schools. *Metro Nashville Public Schools is the most diversifying school district in the country.

  • I achieved a level five, the highest level of TVASS growth during the 2014-2015, and 2015-2016, 2016-2017 testing years.

  • I received a five, the highest rating of teacher effectiveness during the 2012-2013, 2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2016-2017, 2017-2018 school years.

  • During my time at Metro Nashville Public Schools, I have worked in Pre-K, an inner-city Middle school, a charter school, and one of the largest and most diverse comprehensive high schools in the district

Teach for America, Mentor Teacher- Summer Institute 2019

            Corps Members in the Summer Institute program benefit from having lots of feedback.  Part of that feedback is provided by current school teachers.  Teachers are in the classroom with the corps members and offer daily, on the spot feedback to assist new teachers on their journey to greatness.

Teach for America, Justice Journey Facilitator- Summer Institute 2019

The Justice Journey is a multi-day, immersive experience that is designed to facilitate new teachers in reflection and dialogue on the legacy of social justice movements. Through this experience, new teachers will be able to look back at past and current movements, and to make connections to how they will attempt to join the movement for educational equity today and in the future.
